Sponsored: Mr. Tracee Barlow from Ponderosa Elementary School receives The Randalls Red Apple Award for going above & beyond

Randalls Red Apple Award is gifted to one standout educator in the Greater Houston Area each month within the school year.

HOUSTON — We all have that one teacher that lifted us up, inspired us to be something bigger and encouraged us to maybe do what we are doing today. Great Day Houston and Randalls want to reward those unforgettable educators with the Red Apple Award.

The Randalls Red Apple Award for February goes to Mr. Tracee Barlow from Ponderosa Elementary School in Spring ISD. Principal, Floralba Reyna, says Mr. Barlow takes the time to build a relationship with each student and their parents. Reyna says Mr. Barlow is the type of teacher that will find a way for each student to be successful. Mr. Barlow takes extra time to make sure that his lessons are interesting and relevant to every student. He will post videos and photos on X, formerly known as Twitter, and TikTok about his lessons and experiences with the students. Reyna says he takes the time to acknowledge the great work that is happening at Ponderosa Elementary. He is a teacher, mentor and someone that they can count on. Mr. Barlow is a teacher with the heart of a champion.
