The CrossFit Games Open came to Houston Thursday to announce workout 18.3.
The event was hosted at Skyline CrossFit on Shepherd in the Heights.
Dylan Kucish, co-owner of Skyline CrossFit, said being chosen out of 17,000 gyms around the world was like hitting the lottery. Justin Bergh, general manager of the CrossFit Games, said, “the way the City of Houston and the affiliates of CrossFit in Houston responded after Hurricane Harvey made this a story that we couldn’t pass up.”
Airrosti, a sponsor of the CrossFit Games, was also at the event where they announced for every rep an athlete participating in the televised event tonight completed, they would donate $2 to their relief fund that will directly go to gyms affected by Harvey.
