Texans defensive end Christian Covington is ready to get back to taking on opponents on the field. After tearing his biceps halfway through the 2017 season, the Rice product has been anxiously progressing in his rehab.

Covington joined John Lopez and Cody Stoots and the SportsRadio 610AM crew live from radio row in the Mall of America for the Super Bowl LII festivities.

“I’m feeling great,” Covington declared. “I am getting on the path to being 100 percent. A few more weeks to go until I’m actually 100 percent cleared because I was just cleared literally last week (to begin workouts).”

Sporting a new blonde hairdo, Covington proved quite the adept interviewee. As always, the Canadian native was engaging and covered a wide range of topics with his typical eloquent personality.
