TORONTO, ON — There is another Biggio about to make an impact in Major League Baseball.
Cavan Biggio, son of Houston Astros legend and Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, has been called up to the big leagues by the Toronto Blue Jays and will be making his major league debut on Friday night against San Diego.
Biggio joins Vladimir Guerrero Jr., son of Vladimir Guerrero, as the first sons of Baseball Hall of Famers to become MLB teammates.
Biggio was hitting .307 with 6 home runs and 26 RBI in 42 games this season in the minor leagues. He will be playing second base for Toronto in his first game.
He was drafted by the Blue Jays in 2016.
