HOUSTON — Police are investigating a fatal shooting after a man was found dead in a grassy area near an apartment complex Sunday morning.
The body was discovered sometime after 8 a.m. in the 8400 block of West Bartell Drive in southwest Houston.
Houston police responded to the scene and spoke with witnesses that said there was some sort of altercation up the street.
The victim got into an argument with someone inside a vehicle, witnesses said. The other person opened fire on the victim who was truck. He then ran from the scene before collapsing in the grassy area he was found.
Police are checking surveillance video in the area to see what was caught on camera.
