Price lowered again at Woodlands mansion with three-story closet

The price has been lowered again at a well-known mansion in The Woodlands.

The listing price is now $7 million, down from $7.95 million in December 2016, according to Nan & Co. Properties' website, which has the listing.

The Carlton Woods home belongs to Houston socialite Theresa Roemer and Lamar Roemer, who first listed the home in 2015 for $12.9 million before lowering the price to $9 million in July 2016.

The Roemer home is most known for its massive and opulent master closet, which spans 3,300 square feet and stands three stories tall.

The master closet features shelves and storage for clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories as well as a dress viewing area. A burglary in 2014 brought the Roemer home and its closet into the national spotlight.

The three-story home — at 47 Grand Regency Circle — features nine bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, a main kitchen, a catering kitchen, a living room, a family room, lounges, a movie theater, a wine room, a waterfall wall, a Wynn resort-inspired pool with cabanas, outdoor kitchen and bar. The home can entertain hundreds of guests.

Platinum Luxury Auctions, a Miami-based luxury real estate auction firm, was planning to auction off the 17,300-square-foot home located on a 2-acre estate in the summer of 2016. But the auction was delayed due to a softening in the luxury housing market.
