HOUSTON — I-45 North has reopened after this morning's deadly crash involving a street sweeper.
Southbound lanes were blocked at Cypresswood Drive in the Spring area through the morning rush hour.
The I-45 crash was first reported at about 2:30 a.m. Monday when an older Mitsubishi Montero SUV slammed into the back of the sweeper truck.
Both vehicles caught fire, killing one person in the SUV.
Two others were injured in the wreck, including the street sweeper driver.
Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating.
Another deadly, fiery crash was also reported on the other side of town along I-10 on the ramp that connects to I-69. Read more about that crash here.
