Southlake — Most of the time, social media posts from police departments are your standard just-the-facts press releases.
But not on Tuesday, when the Southlake Department of Public Safety took a unique approach to tracking down a suspect.
The department penned a letter on Facebook and Twitter to "Dearest Crystal Ladawn Finley," who's accused of stealing a Southlake resident's identity and using it to open up credit cards at stores across North Texas.
"Luckily, the loss prevention guys prevented you from getting too much property, amiright?!" the Facebook post said.
Finley allegedly opened up credit-card accounts at Z Gallerie, Victoria's Secret, At Home, Ashley Furniture, Best Buy, Home Depot and Jared.
"And, OMG, we heard you were in an accident in Dallas and hope you're ok (even though you provided a fake ID to the other involved party," the letter said.
After informing Finley there was a warrant out for her arrest, Southlake police provided their contact info and got the point: "Gurl, CALL ME."
