WEST YARMOUTH, Mass. - One by one, K-9 officers saluted with their right hands, holding their dogs with their left, in tribute to one of their own.
Yarmouth Police Department K-9 Officer Sean McNamee Gannon, 32, was killed April 12 after he was shot in the head while serving a warrant.
His police dog, Nero, was also shot and was treated and released from a hospital.
Gannon leaves behind a wife, both parents and three siblings.
