RodeoHouston: Parking and transportation guide

A variety of transportation options are available if you plan to visit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Visitors can use METRORail, Park & Ride, or can be dropped off by a rideshare, such as Lyft.

HOUSTON - Are you heading out to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™? Below is some helpful information to help you with parking and transportation as you head out to the show.

On-Site Parking

NRG Park has on-site parking lots and an abundance of surrounding lots for Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ visitors. If you drive to NRG, you will have to pay for parking. This will include all Rodeo volunteers, livestock exhibitors, horse show participants and other permit workers.

Tram Service

When you arrive to a NRG parking lot, look for the trams which are available to offer free rides to and from the parking lots directly to the grounds including NRG Center and NRG Arena.

Trams to Public Parking Lots

Pink Line - 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Yellow Line - 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Tram to and from NRG Center and NRG Arena

Orange Line - 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Trams to other Lots

Blue Line - 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Red Line - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Dropoff Locations

Public Passenger Drop-Off

  • Gate 9 - off Kirby Drive - Lyft & Ride Shares
  • Green Lot - drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Entrance Gate 13D off Murworth - from the north bound lanes of Main Street is the only access to the lot. Main Street - no left turn lane access allowed from the south bound lanes off Main Street

Taxis

Drop-offs and pick-ups are in Gate 14 Teal Lot off Murworth.

Limos

Drop-offs and pick-ups are at the southeast side of the Miller Lite Green Lot, Gate 13 off Lantern Point.

Metrorail

Catch a ride for $2.50 on the METRORail! With three rail lines, the METRORail makes getting to the Rodeo a possibility for a variety of visitors.

Northbound Service

  • Monday through Saturday: until 1:40 a.m.
  • Sunday: until 11:20 p.m.

Southbound Service

  • Monday through Saturday: 3:25 a.m.
  • Sunday: until 1:15 a.m.

Park and Ride

Visitors may park at the following locations and ride the METRORail, METRO bus, or a Rodeo Express bus, managed by the Rodeo, to arrive at NRG Park. The shuttles drop off at NRG Center or NRG Arena located on the park grounds. It is free to park at all lots, except for OST 1. Costs vary between shuttles. Please see below for more information. Handicap Accessible parking locations include OST 1, N. Shepherd, West Loop, Monroe and Maxey.
