HOUSTON - Garth Brooks opened RodeoHouston 2018 to massive crowds in February, now a few weeks later he closed out the Rodeo with a record-breaking performance.
"I had tickets to the first concert, but I had to sell them," said Megan Prijoda. On Sunday thanks to her mom, Prijoda didn't pass her second chance to see Garth Brooks live.
"I called her immediately and woke her up and said 'Guess who got Garth Brooks tickets,'" said Janice Miller.
Back in February when Garth Brooks opened the Rodeo massive lines and long waits made for a hectic night. But Sunday night this mother-daughter duo had no problem getting in.
"You couldn't ask for a better entertainer to close out the rodeo," said Prijoda.
More than 75,000 people filed in to see Brooks up close including Texans star JJ Watt and former President George H.W. Bush who got a lot of love from the crowd too.
He posted a photo on Instagram Sunday night with Garth and his wife, singer Trisha Yearwood.
Watt said in the post, "The legendary @garthbrooks and his beautiful wife @trishayearwood. These two are everything you could want your superstars to be. Kind, generous & humble, all while being phenomenally talented. I consider myself very fortunate to know them and very thankful to have been able to learn from their beautiful stories and experiences."

It was a Rodeo finale those inside the sold-out stadium will never forget.
"Us going together and experiencing this is out of this world and a once in a lifetime opportunity," said Miller.
RodeoHouston officials say the final attendance number for Garth Brooks' second concert was 75,577.
That is an all new paid rodeo/concert attendance record.
