Houston Weather Blog: How long will the dense fog last?

Dense fog advisory this morning. That will slow you down this Tuesday. Expect overnight rain in to Wednesday. Roadways will be slick tomorrow morning.

Widespread fog will have major impacts on your morning commute. Already several accidents have happened and most of the freeways are slower than normal.

Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for most of the Houston area until 9 a.m. Tuesday. Please give yourself extra time on your morning commute.

Tomorrow the story will be some of the overnight rain. About a quarter to a half inch rain is possible but that should be about it. Anticipating another slower than normal commute for Wednesday.

Visibility in most areas is checking in around a quarter of a mile to just a few feet. So you want to leave extra room in between you and the next car in front of you.

Most of the fog will lift around 10 a.m. and the dense fog advisory expires at 9 a,m. Once the fog lifts, the clouds will linger with only a peak of sunshine here and there.

Even though we are staring with chilly temps and foggy conditions this afternoon will be decent with temperatures pushing 70 degrees. Overnight rain with a cold front will pass setting the stage to an amazing end of the week forecast and a picture perfect weekend
