HOUSTON — High pressure builds back across the state and that means another hot stretch!
Temperature wise, it'll be warmer than it has been the last few days--that's because we've lost a lot of the cloud cover. Look for highs that top off in the low 90s with rain chances dropping off later today.
How's the rest of the holiday weekend shaping up? Check it out! Heat is building and rain chances are dropping off:
In fact, rain chances for the majority of next week will be scarce as we transition back into the pattern of hot, humid and dry through the middle of next week. Only rain chances come with pop up afternoon storms.

June 2022 will go down as the hottest on record for Houston at Bush & Hobby as well as Galveston. Galveston also recorded its hottest May on record as well.

TROPICS
We now have the 3rd named storm of the season--Tropical Storm Colin. It formed quickly overnight into early Saturday and will be impacting the coastal Carolinas. The main threats there as we go into tomorrow will be heavy rain with coastal flood potential.

We're also watching Tropical Storm Bonnie passing through Central America. It will re-emerge over the Pacific and strengthen into a hurricane, since it will likely maintain its circulation it will keep the name Bonnie.
