HOUSTON — Clouds and a north east breeze helped hold Houston's afternoon temps in the 60's today. Clouds should thin out overnight, resulting in Friday morning lows in the mid 50's. Light sweaters and jackets in the morning, then a T-shirt and sunglasses Friday afternoon with highs near 80 degrees.
Expect a weekend warm up with highs in the mid to upper 80's. Then, another cold front moves in on Monday with a chance for rain.
Potential tropical depression sixteen (soon to become tropical storm Nestor) is expected to race across the Gulf and hit Florida this weekend. On that track, Houston will have zero impacts with only a slight increase in surf activity for the Galveston coast.
