There is a 70-percent chance for rain on Saturday as a hard freeze moves through the Houston area. Expect a windy day with falling temperatures.

By the afternoon hours, temps will drop to the 40s and continue to drop to the 20s overnight into Sunday. The KHOU 11 Weather Team says you should cover your plants or bring them inside Saturday night.

Runners in the Chevron Houston Marathon should prepare to layer up because it will be bitterly cold Sunday morning.

There will be a lunar eclipse on Sunday as well. The moon will look bigger than normal and will appear to be red late Sunday night.
