HOUSTON — KHOU 11 Meteorologist Brooks Garner says Thursday afternoon will be wet and cloudy, so keep your umbrellas handy.

Rain chances will be 60-percent due to tropical moisture making its way to Texas. Temps will reach 69 degrees Thursday afternoon.

The rain chances will stay with us through Friday. There will be an overcast for the next several days.

Fun fact! This is the coldest October 17 that Houston has ever scene. The high temp for today only reached 63-degrees.

Temps will drop back to the upper-60s by Sunday.

Central Texas is still getting hammered with rain. Lake Travis is reaching record levels as a dam releases water into Lake Austin to prevent any more major flooding.
