HOUSTON — KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul says the heat and humidity will continue for the next several days but a cool front is on the way!

This evening we will see temperatures in the low 90s and high 80s. There may be an isolated shower tonight.

Rain chances increase Thursday to 40-percent. By Friday, rain chances increase to 70-percent due to moisture from what's left of Issac.

David says the high rain chances will stick around Saturday and Sunday, but the rain will be of and on. Temps will remain warm in the 80s.

Fall officially begins Saturday and the Weather Team is tracking a cool front moving through the Houston area next Thursday, Sept. 27.

High temperatures will be in the high 70s and overnight lows will be in the low 60s starting next Friday.

The Weather Team is still watching Hurricane Florence, which is no longer a Tropical Depression. It made landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina on Friday. As of Wednesday morning, the death count was at least 36.
