HOUSTON — Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for most of the Houston area Tuesday morning. Please give yourself extra time on your morning commute.

Temps will drop to the upper 40s Monday night as dense fog starts to develop.

Tuesday's high temps are expected to reach the 70s. It will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain in the evening, according to meteorologist Brooks Garner.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain Wednesday morning. Garner isn't expecting it to be a downpour but we could see some scattered showers in some areas.

Thursday will be windy and cool. Garner is expecting wind gusts to reach about 40 mph.

From Thursday through the weekend, the weather will be beautiful with lots of sunshine and no chance for rain. We could reach the 70s on Saturday and Sunday.

Winter begins Friday!

Christmas day will be warm but humid. The high temp is expected to reach 72 degrees. There is a 20 percent chance of rain. The Thursday after Christmas, we could see severe weather. You can read more about it on Brook's Blog.
