HOUSTON — This afternoon will be sunny and cold before we have another freeze tonight, according to Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

We'll "warm up" to the high-40s this afternoon before dipping back to the freezing mark again for overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Anytime there is a light freeze, you'll want to have sensitive plants like small citrus and tropical plants covered up. Also, bring your pets indoors.

The weather team advises you dress in layers, cover up exposed skin and wear scarves and hats for the next few days.
