The Gulf Freeway is shut down heading south due to a big rig crash and oil spill.
This happened in the 8500 block of the Gulf Freeway near Monroe. All main lanes are closed as of 3:45 p.m.
Houston police say motorists should expect delays and seek alternative routes.
No word on any injuries from the crash.
