HOUSTON -- An overturned big rig spilled a load of granite early Friday, shutting down the 610 West Loop ramp to I-10 westbound.

Houston TranStar reports the incident happened at about 4:13 a.m. No serious injuries were reported, but the granite shattered into thousands of pieces and caused a big mess.

It's not known what caused the truck to overturn.

As of 6:40 a.m. the ramp was still closed as crews work to upright the truck and clean up the mess.

Drivers were forced to take 290 or I-45 to get around the mess and head westbound on I-10.

The ramp fully reopened at 10 a.m.
