Let the recruiting begin!

A day after New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler was inexplicably benched for the team’s Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Texans All-Pro wideout DeAndre Hopkins is rolling out the red carpet for him in Houston.

Hopkins reached out to Butler, who will be a free agent this offseason, via Twitter:

Butler was the Patriots’ top cornerback throughout 2017 and is a former Super Bowl MVP. As of now, there is still no explanation for his failure to appear in the loss to Philadelphia. He is one of the top talents on the free agent market, and the Texans definitely need help at cornerback.
