HOUSTON – Some Astros fans got a sweet surprise Monday morning! The Astros Shooting Stars surprised customers at the Shipley’s on Bissonnet, serving up the "Stro-Nuts," Astros-themed donuts.
One big fan made a special trip to the store because he heard about the give away!
“When we heard the Astros were here, we wanted to cheer ‘em on today cause they got a great opportunity to win today and close out Cleveland," Howard Bruce said.
“It's been pretty awesome. Everyone's so excited,” Ashlee, one of the Shooting Stars, said. “We have the game against Cleveland today at 12:30 p.m., and we have a watch party at the stadium, and everyone's just getting pumped, getting ready for this game
The Shooting Stars served up about 250 "Stro-Nuts" in about two hours.
