AUSTIN — Texas sophomore quarterback Sam Ehlinger is expected to play against Oklahoma State Saturday.

Longhorns head coach Tom Herman said after Thursday's practice, "Sam fully participated all three days of practice this week."

Ehlinger has been nursing an injury to the AC joint on his throwing shoulder that he injured during a game against Baylor nearly two weeks ago. Thankfully, he will receive the nod to start against Oklahoma State Saturday night.

Herman said despite Ehlinger's injury, he's ready to face Oklahoma State.

"I would expect barring any setbacks that he'll be ready to go," Herman said.

The Longhorns head coach was asked to clarify Ehlinger's status for Saturday. Herman replied, "If we had to play today, he would start. Again, I have to see how he feels tonight, tomorrow morning, Saturday morning, all that stuff, but yes he would start."
