Victim of Central Texas Luby's shooting discusses gun rights, CT shooting

It's almost impossible to beleive that a mass shooting could happen at an elementary school. Friday's shooting has shaken many, and renews the critical debate over gun control.

LAMPASAS, Texas -- It's almost impossible to believe that a mass shooting could happen at an elementary school. Friday's shooting has shaken many, and renews the critical debate over gun control.

Sadly, the shooting also brings back memories of another tragic mass shooting closer to home.

On October 16, 1991, 23 were gunned down at a Luby's Cafeteria in Killeen.

Suzanna Hupp was inside eating with her parents. She survived, but tragically her parents were among the victims.

Since then, she has been a gun rights activist, calling for the right for citizens to carry guns for self protection.

Hupp, a former Texas lawmaker and author, spoke to KVUE-TV about gun rights, and Friday's tragic shooting.
