HOUSTON — A video claiming to show a 50-foot Anaconda swimming across a Brazilian river is making the rounds on social media.
The video from “Nature is scary” on Twitter looks scary, but something in it should tell you something’s off.
In the top left corner of the video, there is a road up ahead – not a river. The video is also from April 12, 2018.
For those who don’t speak Portuguese, the title reads, “Giant anaconda crossing the road.” If you take the vertical video and stretch it out, it makes the snake look a lot scarier.
We can verify this claim of a 50-foot anaconda in Brazil is false.
