HOUSTON - After he was arrested for an unrelated crime, a Houston man confessed to police his role in the 2011 death of a 2-month-old in west Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, Kenneth Wayne Driver, 38, was arrested on April 17 and booked in the Harris County Jail.

During an interview with investigators on Wednesday, he confessed to killing the 2-month-old back in 2011.

The infant, Jamarian Wayne Anthony, was found unresponsive at a home in the 4700 South Kirkwood on November 15, 2011.

Jamarian was taken to Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences revealed blunt force trauma injuries to the baby's head and neck, according to Officer P. Vela, with HPD's Homicide Division.

Investigators questioned Driver as part of the initial investigation back in 2011, but he denied any involvement in the child's death.

Driver has been charged with murder in the 339th State District Court.
