WHARTON, Texas — A van carrying inmates ended up partially submerged in water after the vehicle veered off the roadway into a creek along Interstate 59 in Wharton.
This happened just before 11 a.m. heading north near County Road 231. The road is completely shutdown as of 11:20 a.m.
Police are in the scene, along with emergency crews tending to the injured.
Police say all injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
