MATAGORDA, Texas — A 16-year-old swimmer is missing at Matagorda Beach and the U.S. Coast Guard is trying to find him.
The Coast Guard was notified of the teen reported missing after he did not make it back to shore while swimming with friends Sunday.
There is a multi-agency response to his disappearance. It includes Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Matagorda Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information can contact Sector Houston-Galveston at (281) 464-4854.
The body matching the description of a 29-year-old swimmer who went missing in Galveston was found Sunday morning.
Memorial Day weekend is one of the biggest beach weekends of the year along the Texas Coast but dangerous rip currents caused some Houston-area beaches to close.
