Responders call off search after report of glider plane going down in Lake Houston

Emergency crews responded to a report of a small blue and white glider plane going down in Lake Houston Wednesday morning, but did not find a downed aircraft.

HOUSTON – Emergency crews responded to a report of a small blue and white glider plane going down in Lake Houston Wednesday morning, but did not find a downed aircraft.

The Houston Police Department said it may have happened near the McKay Bridge, but nothing has been found at this time.

Air 11 showed fire crews stationed on the bridge searching for the downed aircraft. They also had a boat in the water conducting a search.

Nothing could be scene in the area from Air 11 which hovered over the lake for about 25 minutes.

After about an hour, the search was called off.
