2 dead from major motorcycle crash in Texas City

The Texas City Police Department said a 2008 black Nissan Rouge was attempting to turn into the Mall of the Mainland parking lot when a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided into it.

TEXAS CITY, Texas - Two people died Saturday after a major motorcycle crash in Texas City.

The accident happened at about 12:37 p.m. in the 2800 block of FM 2004.

The Texas City Police Department said a 2008 black Nissan Rouge was attempting to turn into the Mall of the Mainland parking lot when a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided into it.

A 63-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were on the motorcycle. Both were ejected from the bike upon impact. They later died at UTMB Galveston.

Three people were in the Nissan Rouge. All were checked by EMS for minor injuries.

Police said alcohol does not seem to be a factor.

The investigation is ongoing.
