HOUSTON – It’s a miracle a man is still alive after he had to be cut out of his vehicle after slamming into a utility pole in north Houston early Friday morning.

At about 2:15 a.m., a man was driving at a high rate of speed on Airline Drive when he lost control of his car near Roselane St. and struck a middle median curb, according to the Houston Police Department. The car went across the median and then slammed into a utility pole.
