HOUSTON - Shoppers can now get their groceries from Kroger without ever stepping foot inside a store.
The grocery chain has launched its own online service at five locations in Houston.
The service is called "ClickList" and it is currently being offered in Baytown, Cypress, Galveston, Kingwood and Tomball.
Shoppers can place their order online and then pick it up curbside. ClickList costs $4.95 but Kroger is waving the charge for the first three orders for each shopper.
According to it's website, customers select the items they want, confirm a pick-up date and time, then pick up and pay for their items without ever leaving their vehicle.
Only credit cards and debits cards will be accepted for the ClickList transactions.
The company is planning to expand to several more stores in the Houston area in the next few months.
