ITC Deer Park fire: Parks closed, HISD cancels on-campus events for east side schools

There are dozens of elementary schools, middle schools and high schools on the list. Sporting events have also been rescheduled.

DEER PARK, Texas — Parks and schools near the ITC Deer Park facility are taking precautions this weekend after another fire there on Friday.

According to HISD, the following on-campus activities at the following schools have been canceled.  Also, all sporting events have been rescheduled for alternate locations. 

The schools that HISD says are on the east side are the following…

  • Harris RP ES
  • Henderson JP ES
