How to save on Houston's museums during spring break

Houston has some amazing museums to keep the kiddos entertained, but those tickets can add up when you take the whole family.

HOUSTON — Spring break is here for a lot of students in our area, which means at some point parents are going to hit the wall and want to get out of the house.

But how can you save on spring break?

Houston has some amazing museums to keep the kiddos entertained, but those tickets can add up when you take the whole family.

That’s especially true at the Houston Museum of Natural Science where tickets are $25 a pop. But the visit Houston Texas website has coupons for 60 percent off. That’s big savings to see some big dinosaurs.

If your wee ones prefer big machines, the Lone Star Flight Museum is a good choice and right now GoldstarEvents.com is offering tickets for $10. They usually cost $20 so that’s 50 percent off.

And don’t forget the Museum of Fine Arts. Kids under 12 always get in free. On Thursday general admission is actually free for the whole family, a pretty cheap way to encourage that budding Picasso in your house.
