Free breakfast for students, teachers at Houston-area McDonald's

HOUSTON — McDonald’s is helping Houston-area students and teachers get ready for the STAAR testing this week with a free breakfast to start the day.

On Tuesday, between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., local McDonalds will give free breakfast to students and teachers grades three through eight to kick off STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) testing.

The free breakfast includes your choice of Egg White Delight McMuffin or fruit and maple oatmeal. You can get a 1% low fat milk or apple juice to drink and apple slices as a side.

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s essential on testing days” said Carla Moore, president of the Greater Houston McDonald’s owner/operators. “We are proud to offer a nutritious breakfast to both teachers and students to ensure everyone is ready to do their best during STAAR testing.”
