HOUSTON — Concerned parents reached out to school administrators Monday after reports of a lockdown at Meyerland PVA Middle School.
The Houston Independent School District says district police are investigating an alleged threat made against the campus.
"In the meantime, campus leadership and HISD police have taken steps to implement additional safety measures," stated HISD. "We take all threats seriously, as the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority."
Some parents reached out to KHOU 11 concerned that they were not being allowed to pick their children up from school when the rumors first started circulating around 8 a.m. Monday.
