HOUSTON — Cardinal Daniel DiNardo is recovering from a mild stroke, the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston said in a statement Saturday evening.
Cardinal DiNardo, who is the Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, was taken to a Houston hospital on Friday night with stroke like symptoms.

The Archdiocese said DiNardo is resting comfortably, conversing with associates, doctors and nurses.
He is expected to remain hospitalized for a few more days of testing and observation before transferring to another facility for rehabilitation.
"With so much to do, I am looking forward to getting back to work as soon as possible," DiNardo said in a statement.
