Duchesne Academy field hockey player Carol Longo is the KHOU 11 Athlete of the Week presented by Texas Mattress Makers.
Longo, a senior, is one of the top goal scorers in Texas and led Duchesne to TAPPS 6A State Championship. She notched the game-winning goal in sudden death of the state semifinals with a difficult strike called a reverse chip.
She will attend Texas A&M in the fall and hopes to become a veterinarian. Longo plans on playing intramural field hockey in college, as well.
