TOMBALL, Texas – A teen cyclist was listed in critical condition overnight after police say he was hit on FM 2920 in Tomball.
The driver of a pickup truck reportedly hit the 16-year-old around midnight. The cyclist was taken to the hospital by helicopter.
Police at the scene said the teen apparently had no lights on his bicycle and was in a moving lane of traffic. The truck’s driver stopped and waited for police. There are no charges in the incident.
Police say the teen had just wrapped up his shift at a McDonald’s nearby and was heading home.
