NEEDVILLE, Texas — Seventy six dogs, including 46 puppies, were rescued on Thursday by the Houston SPCA and deputies with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

Cruelty Investigators found the dogs living in deplorable conditions on a Needville property, according to the SPCA.

Urine and feces were scattered in and around the home while some of the dogs were being kept in wire cages that can cause injury to their paws, officials said.

All of the animals were taken to the Houston SPCA and are being treated by veterinarians there.

The SPCA posted the information on Facebook Thursday afternoon. The nonprofit said they rely 100% on donations and medical care for animals can be very costly. If you would like to donate, click here.
