Comicpalooza: Kids 12 and under free today since schools are closed

Houston kids got a double bonus Friday thanks to last night's severe weather.

HOUSTON — Kids across the city of Houston are enjoying Friday off, courtesy of last night's storm that forced many districts to cancel school.

And their day got even better with a tweet from Comicapalooza.

"Since schools across the city are closed and our doors are open, we’re inviting kids 12 and under to join us for free today... We have great activities for kids, fun photo ops (“life size” dragons), panels, shopping, gaming, and more!"

Kids must be with an adult.

Comicpalooza 2019 is underway through Sunday at the GRB in downtown Houston. It's open 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
