Beyoncé could make Grammy history tonight | Live at 7 p.m. on KHOU 11

She's needs two more Grammy wins to set the record.

Houston's own Beyoncé has the chance to make Grammy history this year.

She went into Sunday up for nine Grammy Awards, needing four to set the record for most overall Grammy wins.

Beyoncé won twice in the premiere ceremony, taking home Grammy Awards for Best Traditional R&B performance for ‘Plastic Off the Sofa’ and Best Dance/Electronic recording for ‘Break My Soul.’

That means she's two away from setting the record.

British conductor Georg Solti holds the record with 31 Grammy wins. Quincy Jones and Beyoncé had been tied for second with 28. Beyoncé is now at 30.

Her "Renaissance" world tour will make two stops in Texas, including Houston, of course. Thursday, fans who registered to receive ticket information got surprise alerts that a second show had been added to her Houston stop.

The 2022 album “Renaissance” is a celebration of dance music and is nominated for album of the year.

The “Renaissance” world tour kicks off May 10 in Sweeden. She will make a stop in Dallas on Sept. 21 and Houston on Sept. 23 and Sept. 24.
