Houston Community College is offering classes for just $20

Each program is between six months and two years long.

HOUSTON — The Houston Community College is once again offering classes for only $20 as part of its "Career4U" academies.

You can choose from Business, Construction Management, Information Technology, Healthcare and Transportation. Each certificate program is between six months and two years long.

The special Adult Education & Literacy program allows students to attend college without a TSI test and earn a Level 1 certificate.

The classes are all credit courses with a combination of workforce preparation and an added support course throughout the program, HCC says.

HCC’s website notes that not everyone is accepted as students must meet the testing criteria.

“Our students must pre-test to qualify for the program. Your test results will determine if you are eligible to be part of the Career4U Academy or moving straight into college-level courses.”
