HOUSTON — A woman is accused of leading Houston Police on a chase with her child in the car late Wednesday night in southwest Houston.
Police responded to a reported robbery around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 7500 block of Bellaire. The alleged robbery victim told police the suspect was driving a black Jeep while someone in a blue sedan circled the parking lot.
Officers spotted a blue sedan and tried to pull it over. The car stopped but took off, leading police on a 3-minute chase.
Police said the suspect pulled the car into the driveway of a home and was taken into custody. She reportedly told officers she did not stop because she was trying to take her daughter to her dad’s house.
Officers said it does not appear the woman nor her car were connected to the original robbery call.
