A man was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon moments after he was dropped off at an emergency room clinic, according to Houston Police.

The young Hispanic man was in his late teens or early 20s. HPD said he suffered at least one gunshot wound but are waiting to hear more from the medical examiner.

Witnesses told police that the people who dropped him off left the emergency room right after.

Police are working to find out who he is, what happened, and why those people left him.

It's unclear at this time if the man died at the clinic or if he was already deceased before.

Police say it's suspicious that the people who dropped him off left the scene.

One person is being interviewed at this time but they are not considered a suspect.
