Police were searching Tuesday for an armed robbery suspect on the University of Houston campus.
Pasadena Police received a report from the Houston Police Department Tuesday morning of a purse snatching on Allendale. HPD responded and found the suspect's vehicle and two other vehicles tagging along, which they followed to the UH campus. HPD called in additional units from Pasadena.
Police say suspects from all three cars bailed when they saw police, prompting a search on the west side of the UH campus. As of 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, police said the suspect was no longer in the vicinity.
Authorities say one suspect is in custody, and they are searching for three or four other suspects. Police released a photo of a person of interest Tuesday evening.
One of the abandoned vehicles is a stolen pickup truck that police say was taken from someone the suspects allegedly held at gunpoint Tuesday morning. They also confirm one of the other vehicles was stolen.
Anyone with information on the suspect or alleged robbery is asked to contact authorities.
