PEARLAND, Texas — A 12-year-old Alexander Middle School student was arrested and charged Monday for bringing an unloaded gun to school.
Pearland police officers found the gun in the student's backpack, which was inside his locker. The tip about the weapon came from another student, according to the school district.
The student has been charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.
No one at the school was injured.
This investigation is ongoing.
