One in custody after armed suspects crash U-Haul into house in NE Houston

Police say they will question the suspect in custody. They believe that there are no other suspects in the area.

HOUSTON — One possible suspect is in custody while others may be on the run after they ran away from after they crashed a U-Haul truck into a home Wednesday morning.

Police were searching the area of 7200 Parker, not far from Homestead. Police remain on the scene, but say they believe that there are no other suspects in the area.

Earlier police tweeted the burglary suspects were considered armed and for residents to avoid the area.

Police said they will question the possible suspect they have in custody.

Views from Air 11 showed the U-Haul crashed through a fence and front yard before coming to a stop against a home.

During the chase, a safe from the U-Haul truck appeared to fall out of the back of the truck on Dodson.

At this time there are no reports of injuries at the home.
