A Montgomery County man was arrested Saturday after deputies found explosives in his car.

They were sent to the Timber Lakes Subdivision in South Montgomery County to check out reports of a disturbance.

Deputies were questioning a suspect when they spotted what appeared to be explosives in his car.

The bomb squad was called and they found an intact improvised explosive device (IED) and several other components that could be used to make explosives, according to the MCSO. They also recovered a military-grade explosives initiating device and an intact grenade fuse assembly.

Jason Lee Warner, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of an IED, possession of explosive components and possession of a controlled substance.
